Took the girlfriend shooting this weekend.

What an day. It was a group of guys from work and I took my girlfriend along with me. At first she was very scared and didn't really feel like being there. We were at the pistol range, and I guess all the noise was making her upset. After a while, we went over to the pistol side of the range and we're shooting a friends H&K .308 a couple of AK's and a 10/22. We got her to shoot the .22 and then later moved on to the pistols. She later shot my Glock 26 and my browning hi power hitting the bullseye two times at 10 yards.

At first she was almost in tears...here is a girl that has never even seen a gun up close, much less ever thought of shooting one, and now she's almost hooked. It turned out to be a great day at the range and a great weekend all together. I got to shoot a few guns I've never shot before including my newest, a Glock 22. Now I have to figure out what the next one is going to be...it's becoming harder and harder to decide these days.

I also wanted to take a moment to thank all the Vets and current military personnel that made it all possible. Without them we would not be taking advantage of all the freedoms that we all love to enjoy. Thanks, and God bless.

    we need more shooters however i used to think that i wanted my girlfriend to go shooting with me wehn she got hooked it nearly broke me i already spend around 150 a week on ammo when she started she wanted to shoot as much as i did just a thought oh and she was afraid of guns before she met me now i'm afraid that i'm going to go groke lol

    Took my lady friend shooting a year or so ago. At the end of the day she asked if I would put on a new target. Did so, and ran it down 10 meters. With a Glock 22 I witnessed her, with 3 shots, cut the bull bottom, center, top. Three for three. Ran the target back witnessed and signed for her. She was so proud she had it framed.

    The scary part is the same gun is loaded, and ready, and under the bed. Needless to say she earned my respect.
