Benneli Nova or Mossberg 835?

Going to buy a turkey gun. Looking for opinions on the Beneli Nova versus the Mossberg 835. What length barrel would be best?

    My Vote is the 835. Can't be beat for the money and accessories are much cheaper.

    Go with the Mossburg!!!! I picked one op a few years ago for a multi-purpose waterfowl/turkey gun. I have never regreted my choice. She'll feed anything, take an unbelivable amount of abuse (the bottom of a duck boat can be a hersh thing in Minnesota!),the price can't be beat, made in America, and the warranty can't be beat. Also there are a lot more aftermarket products for the 835 than the Nova. JMHO-Ferg

    MOSSBERG 835!!!! Dude for the money that gun cannot be beat. You can choke that thing for any occasion, you can shoot anything from 2 3/4 target loads to the 3 1/2 turkey smasher. I have one of them and it has been thru pure hell and still works like new. You can get a good squirrell gun, turkey gun, pheasant and grouse gun and even shoot clay with it for under $350!! In my opinion the mossberg 835 and 500 are the absolute best deal on pump guns. Just like Marlin .22's, don't let the price fool you. I have a friend that dropped $800 on a kimber .22 that is supposed to be the worlds best .22, it won't shoot high velocity shells! My little $150 marlin kicks that things butt!! Sometimes cheaper is better!! GO MOSSBERG!

    835 hands down.The last thing you wont to do, Is deal with Bennelli customer service dept.I think it is run by Janet R., And Rose O. They are a nightmare.

    I must admit I've had a problem finding fiber optic sites that fit.Think the rib is 8 mm and all the sights that are "said" to fit,don't.As an all weather gun and taking different loads the Nova does great.Not a Mossey fan but you guys have me thinking,I'll look at one on my next visit.SxS,the out-numbered.

    For the price of my Mossberg I have no qualms about taking it through the junk and beating it up because the gun and my checkbook can handle it. I picked up a reasonably-priced slug barrel for it several months ago so now it is even more multi-purpose. Can't go wrong with the Mossberg 835.

    We held or local chapters NWTF Banquet Friday, and we gave a Nova away there as a sponsors gun. This was the first time I had ever held one, and the 835 we had there was a much better gun. The Nova was a rattle trap, that seemed very lose. The 835 was a real nice tight set up. Everyone was walking around asking others if they would trade if they won the Nova?I lucked out and won a 870 12ga Turkey Express, and a New England single shot 410. Not bad for one nights work.Trinity+++

    Sorry about bringing it up again. Just calling a spade a spade. Higher grade Benelli's are good guns, but in my humble opinion the Nova model was sold on price only.
