Ground Zero Ceremony

Just returned from NYC. Went in this morning to attend the closing ceremony of the Ground Zero site. It was very moving. Thousands of people all around the site.

The best surprise was that NO politician gave a speech or even made "remarks", although they were out in force.

I guess even they know sometime when to keep their mouths shut!
I still have a hard time going into the city and not seeing the towers. The murderous scum that did this deed cannot be punished enough.

I watched on TV and it brought me right back to 9/11: tears of sadness and anger.

Josey, she WAS there, along with Chuckie Schummer. Two s**t birds if ever there were any. Also in attendance was our esteemed governor of NJ, whatever his name is.......

I watched the ceremony on tv this morning and was in tears..The most touching was the empty stretcher, symbolizing the ones from all over the world that were not found.
As one announcer said, This is not the time for speeches... Thank God the politicans kept their mouths shut..

Charlie,I meant I was glad that Hillary,Schumer and their ilk did not speak,You know how they love to take credit for anything they can get their grubby little hands on.I'll bet Hillary was afraid of getting BOO;d off the podium again.

I too watched it.. The ceremony was very good.
Im a demolition expert. Been in the industry for 25 yrs.
Those men did an outstanding job. Period.
I did feel my eyes water a bit when the semi was hauling the last beam up and out of the pit.
I feel so sorry for those that lost their lives and the ones that loved them.
But when the men filed out after the semi was the most touching.
That brung tears to my eyes.
That job will stay with those men and women for the rest of their lives.
May the basturds who did that burn in HELL.

A special prayer for those who lost their lives at WTC and their families. Thanks to those who labored 24/7 for the past 8 months to clear the site. Thanks to the nation for their support. Finally, I thank the good Lord my wife (also a LEO) came back home safely that chaotic day - her mobilized group was just outside WTC when the first one came down.
