Sold our home!

This past Tuesday we reached an agreement on the sale of our home. I know this has been troubling many of you.

I thought I'd share my excitement.

We also found a new home, but have 5 weeks of homelessness between closings...this should be fun with a 2.5yr old!

Upsizing by 2.5x. We bought this house at age 19, lived 9 good years here, now it's time for a nice house in a nice neighborhood. Room to play and room to grow.

I wish I lived on Louisville. I live in Lafayette, IN. New home will be on the West Side.

Congrats. Right as we paid our last house off completely the county rezoned us from best middle school in county to a crackhead middle school and from the 2nd best high school in the county to one of the worst. Luckily we unloaded it right as the market started to collapse. Moved 5 miles north to a MUCH better school in next county. Only downside is 6 years left on this house payment....

Rent a place with an indoor pool for your 5 week stay. We did about 20 years ago when we moved. The kids still talk about that month of paradise. [:D]

I don't envy your situation one iota.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

    Nor I.

What can you do but put your stuff in storage, and live in a hotel for 5 weeks if you don't have family close by.

    Congrats, cubs!

C'mon up to South Bend. My wife & I and 3 kids live in our 3-bedroom quad level, but the weather is about to get warm, and we have a nice yard :) You can put up a tent in back if you want to.

Seriously, though, if you ever make it up here, let me know. I've lived here 6 years and never been to Lafayette. Maybe meet halfway some time this summer.

Absolutely, and if you ever find yourself in town, you'd better look me up.

Just remember, it's better to have the money and be inconvenienced, then to be inconvenienced and not have the money! My home builder told me that about 20 years ago, good advice!
