well went back to the shooting range this morning to trim a few trees and pick up some more sticks so i can do some more mowing. went home and took shower to get ready for work and as i was getting dressed noticed a little brown spot on my leg. you guessed it it was a wood tick. i wonder if with the mild winter we had in the midwest if we are going to see a lot of them and other bugs?????
any one use flowers of sulpher to avoid the tick and chiggers? seems to me to work better than "off". CARL

A few years back My wife and I, alond with my best friend and his wife took our bikes on a two week vacation to Minnesota. We reserved a cabin north of Brainerd(sp) called, if I remember correctly, the Shing Wako resort. The cabin was cool, we rented a boat just to go out on the lake and relax. While we were waiting for the fella to get the boat around we spied up on the beach amidst some overgrowth an old pontoon that looked like it had been there for years. We got the idea to pose for some pictures holding some old oars by the pontoon doing a Gilligan's Island kinda thing. (These were back in my drinkin' days.) Well, got the pictures took and got out of the brush and I saw that my friend was covered with something brown. A closer look,,,and we were both covered with small ticks,,man there must have been zillions of 'em! Had the Tick 'Noids for the rest of the vacation. Both of our wives were cosmetologists and we had them picking through our hair fer the next few nights..
"I wish I could think of something cool to put here!"
