Letter sent to Representitives - Florida

This is a copy of the letter I sent to:
Rep. Ander Crenshaw (Republican)
Sen. Bob Graham (Democrat)
Sen. Bill Nelson (Democrat)

I am outraged that Rep. Carolyn McCarthy is trying to prohibit more Americans from owning guns with her H.R. 4757. This bill spends millions of dollars to further prop up the unconstitutional Brady Law, but there is no authority for the Federal government to do this under the Second and Tenth Amendments.

The Instant should be banned, not expanded. Please oppose this bill.

I would appreciate hearing whether you plan to oppose this bill. Gun Owners of America will keep me informed about any votes on this dangerous measure.
This law should be repealed in Florida also. All this does is tell criminals that State Parks are ripe for the pickings. Mostly honest citizens who have Concealed Weapons Permits and/or Hunting Licenses police their own and report violations such as Poachers and Illegal Target shooting. I ask of you to draw up a Bill to withdraw this restriction on Florida Citizens.

09/25/02 - BREAKING NEWS: VCDL Wins! Governor to stop Park Ban Immediately!!!

BREAK OUT THE CHAMPAIGN! I have a letter in hand from the Governor
directing Mr. Maroon of DCR to *immediately* STOP enforcing the ban
on concealed carry permit holders carrying their guns in state parks!
YES!!!!

Open carry is not allowed, but this is still a major victory for all
of us. GOOD WORK EVERYONE! GOOD WORK!

We need to thank the Governor for his well thought-out and correct
stance on this issue and we need to thank Delegate Dick Black for his
tenacity on this issue!

This information was broke to me by Terry Scanlon, a reporter for the
Daily Press when he called for a reaction. He was considerate enough
to fax the Governor's letter to me.

Here is Delegate Dick Black's e-mail:

mailto:delegateblack.com

and phone:

(703) 406-2951

To contact the Governor:

Here is the phone number: (804) 786-2211.
Most of this was CUT & PASTE, you can tell what I wrote.

I felt this was confusing, so I deleted the Background Check bill and resent it.
