Worst behavior EVER at a Yard sale

I was going through some old files today and came across references to this case. It happened a couple of years ago. Have you ever heard of, or had, such a nut case?
My wife and I were at a yard sale, I found a box with a bell inside. Since she collects bells I asked her if she had this one, she said she did not. So I turned to ask how much it was, from a person that had been shadowing me since I arrived at the sale. She was one of three people that I had observed standing around talking when I arrived. I thought that she was one of the people selling the items.I asked her how much it was, and she told me "I don't know, I don't work here". I said "OK" and turned to go to the garage where the right person could help me. This person beside me asked "what is it?". Not thinking anything was amiss, I simply said "never mind, I am going to go see how much it is". Then the "lady?" shouted "I want to know what is in the box, I might want to buy it." and she actually tried to take the box right out of my hand. I lifted the box up and told her "I am going to buy it, depending on how much it is". Holding the box out of her reach, I stepped around her and went to talk to the people running the yard sale to find out the price. Then with my back to her, my wife said she went straight out to her SUV, with no one parked in FRONT of her (and with her being parked on the wrong side of the road to begin with) she intentionally BACKED UP, knocked over my motorcycle, (It is a big touring motorcycle)I knew there was quite a bit of damage, and I later found out the repair bill was over $6,000.00 for the damage she did. I voiced my displeasure for this outrageous behavior. When the police arrived, both were given tickets, her for improper backing, me for "voicing" my displeasure. After contacting 6 lawyers, the only one that would even talk to me about this said "Is her insurance going to pay for the motorcycle? If so, with your spotless record, take the ticket, and let the insurance company pay for the repairs. Because that's the way things work now days."After the police and the crazy person left, I did go back up to the garage and buy the bell, the cost...$1.50.

Reminds me when my wife and I were shoping and found rose bushs on sale and had a shoping cart full and another woman just walked up and started to push cart off, needless to say she did not get far because my wife told her in a un-nice way that those were her rose bushs.Lesson 1--You do not fool with my wifes rose bushs.
"It was like that when I got here".
Got there and i saw an old duck call i can't remember what it was.
Anyway i picked it up and said honey look an old wooden duck call.

She would also change prices, especially at the bigger sales. Find a $20 item and put the sticker from a $1 item on it and then try to buy it. She actually bought a set of Justin Roper boots for $2 that way.
One day, when we were having a sale, I saw this woman stop and get out of her car. I met her a the sidewalk and told her to keep going, that we were not interested in her patronage. She was a little miffed, but she left.
What she was doing was securing items for her own garage sales, which she held nearly every weekend.

Getting in the middle of someone else's deal. Dealer is trying to buy or trade with a customer. Another customer, overhearing part of the conversation, butts in and tries to better the dealer's offer. Very bad manners.
Another one that is a killer for guys with only one or two tables: Two or more attendees stop in front of your table to have a protracted conversation or check out something they have bought. Without asking, the lay their stuff down on your tables and go on with what they were doing. Now, the other customers are having to walk around these guys and can't see your stuff.
And, I have been shoplifted from at gun shows.

Some of the old gals at the nursing home where my grandmother lives are into those romance novels. You could box them up and ship them there, but you wouldn't make any money.
You might be able to claim it as a charitable contribution on your tax return.

Geez, I feel stupid, why didnt I think of that? I always buy off the auctions, but I've never sold, this would be the perfect opportunity to have my first experience as a seller, thanks, Ryan.

Now, I had four pairs of old boots cluttering up my closet. Condition ranged from worn out to pretty good. All were well-worn.
I shot pictures and put them on Fleabay. I estimated the shipping cost on the high side, and started each pair at a buck.
I sold all four pairs. First time. Cheapest was a dollar, and the highest was $15.50.
People will buy the darndest things.
