Our 20-something niece and a friend spent the day at the lake yesterday, and the evening evolved into a 'name that tune' contest, them against me and the wife.

We were getting our butts kicked, and then we realized that they had something called an 'application' on their inteliphones that would listen to music and list the song and singer.

After playing a couple of dozen somewhat obscure songs from the 60s, 70s and early 80s, we could not defeat the damnable machine. (I thought the Flying Lizards would do it, but alas, within a second, that notion was dispelled.)

Finally, after searching what is left of my memory of the time, I found one that the application could not identify.

If I remember correctly, when one blotted out reality, the following song was quite comical.
