Glock 22's, hard to find???

I talked to one of my out of town buddies today on the phone, told me they had a Glock 22 .40s&w NIB at a pawn shop for $800. He asked the dealer why it was so expensive, the dealer told him it was because they are so hard to come by. Told him that they quit selling them to civilians, and only law enforcement agencies can get them now. If that ain't a crock of bull I don't know what is. Every place in town here seem's to be able to have one shipped here tomarrow for around $550 + or - some.

Some people will screw you good if they can tell you are green. Got lucky myself. I found this place!

My understanding is that there is a demand among law enforcement
agencies at this time for the Glock 22 and the factory is working to fill those contracts first.

I have not heard or read anything about Glock stopping sales to non-LEO's....

We tried to work on a law enforcement bid for 30 some glock 22's and the glock rep tolds us that they (glock) were 75,000 units behind, due to military and LEO orders. Nothing was ever mentioned about not selling to civilians.

Yeah, I've been hearing for months that the Glock factory was unable to meet some dealer orders, but it's temporary, nothing to raise prices over and not a "Seecamp" type of deal at all. There are enough of these already in the marketplace in all calibers that if you want one they're easy enough to come by and some dealers still have stock.
