Yesterday I just got inducted.

To all you riders out there, I got a question for ya....

How long does it take to heal? Stings like a sonofabictch! I was riding downtown to get some lunch when my front tire jammed in one of those d*** trolley tracks. It twisted my bike to the left, threw me to the right. Sliding across the pavement took off both of my shoes and all the skin off both forearms.

I've ridden across those tracks a million times... Can't imagine what I did different this time. If this (God forbid) ever happens to one of you guys, don't the doc when he says peroxide won't hurt. Imagine picking up a lit BBQ grill with your inner arms. OUCH!

What a drag. How much damage to the bike?

I sideswiped a Jersey barrier once at about 70mph and couldn't get off of it. Must've rubbed along that thing for several hundred yards. Never did go down and didn't do much damage to the bike but it broke my left knee, ripped off my pants leg and my shoe and ground about 50 pounds of hide off my entire left leg. Black, blue and yellow for several weeks with some world-class scabs.

Man I hate it when a brother goes down on his scooter. I flipped one end over end 3 times once while showing off out in front of my house at about 35mph with no shirt or shoes on. Looked like solid hamburger from the concrete. when I went to bed at night it would scab over then when I woke up in the morning the scabs would break open when I got up and moved around. after about 2 weeks you will be back to normal except for your pride. The last time I wrecked I went off the highway into the medial strip on the interstate at 75 M.P.H. Got up and walked away from it, sore everywere but not as skabbed up as the 35 mph wreck on the concrete. I ended up in the hospital a week later with an infection in my leg. MAKE SURE THE DOCTOR GIVES YOU SOME ANTIBIOTICS SO THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN TO YOU! Thanks OTO

Got hit in the chest by a bird and laid it over on a gravel road.
ripped off my pants leg and turned my calf to hamburger from boot top to knee 2 months to heal up. Black and blue all down the left side.

Buddy of mine was putting along about 25 wearing one of the old bell helmets with the shield up when he caught a hornet in the opening. Hornets can sting you multiple times . He got it about 7 or 8 times before he could get stopped and shuck his bucket

    Wow, thanks for the support.

I am still sore but getting better. The rash still is a pain in the butt, but is okay.

Looking back i was pretty darn lucky. I didn't hit my head and tear up my face. My shoes ripped in half, right around the togue when I hit the pavement. The skin is gone from my forearms and lower palms, so typing is slow going.

It's kinda weird, I try and type and my hand feels really lazy. Feels just like bruised muscle.

It's okay. All will be better in the AM!
