So who were the winners?
They were originally listed at the top of the first page and this thread was continuously bumped to the top by me five times and by a few others after it ended. The names have been removed by me.
That's why I put in my ground rules that the winner/winners have 24 hours from my posting of the winner/winners to respond with their contact information. At 24 hours and 1 second, another name is chosen, no exceptions!!!!!
If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
Computer has been down for past week or so If by chance I was of the winners my sincere apology for not getting back to you .If I wasn't one of the winners thank you for the chance

Redraw seems apropos.
Some will die in hot pursuit
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
We've spoken in the past how frustrating it can be. I've had similar experiences.
I'd hang on to it and maybe try again some other time in another thread.
Or not.
While I made a point of saying thank you after my giveaway win and describing the item and gave a shout out to the giver...
I never got a thank you or a thread reply or anything but silence after my giveaway...
Your giveaway your rules.
Threadshaming is probably a bit petty - not that you have gone that route.
Mike
I've noticed if the winner doesn't reply within a about 3 days they never reply at all. This one went 18 days without any replies. I have down so many giveaways here that I figured everyone knew by now but I guess not. No one looks back 9-10 pages. Maybe 2 two years later some one might bring it up like old posts that never die.
Damn Curt, what a generous giveaway. I was following it all the way. That knife was beautiful. Hopefully you find it in your heart to do it again sometime, but if you don't, I understand. Your generous to a fault. I use the GunBroker blanket you sent me, every night while I am reading. It is getting packed up to go to our new mountain home. I am putting it over my recliner, so I have it on winter nights when I am up in the loft reading. Believe it or not, That is my favorite damn blanket. I like it more then the Dallas Cowboys blanket, that my mom knitted me[:0] Don't ever tell her that[:D] Thanks a million for that nice gift, that I didn't even ask for. Your a tremendous guy, just like Biker Bob said.[;)] I hope we get to meet up some day, so I can buy you dinner. Oak
It was an awesome thing you tried to do. Had I won for my Son I would know, I mark almost all the threads I reply to with the "subscribe" button. Easy peasy.
Now if a fella has a break down and has no link to the net that is a problem, but it sure seems like you went above and beyond to be nice.
I hope this does not turn you against trying again. When you have that giveaway for a Barrett 50BMG I want in. [8D] If I will you will hear from me. LOL
Just smile and say nothing, let them guess how much you know.
i gave away a 1911 barrel and bushing, winner was announced but never responded, i didn't get upset about it, too bad so sad
i have send members items off the forum, and never got an email received or even a thank you, had to ask if even recieved {this does not apply to this years pepper recipients}

Oakie, I had a nice Wisconsin Badgers blanket that was my favorite. It was my cats favorite blanket as well. As soon as I through that big red blanket over my legs my cat was on my lap for the duration. We buried her in the yard at the young age of only 7 this past August. We wrapped her in that blanket and buried her under her favorite Japanese Maple tree that she loved to lay under. Now she has her favorite blanket in her favorite spot under the tree forever. It still bothers me to no end.
Seems like a simple matter if you enter a drawing to"subscribe" to the thread. I didn't enter this drawing, but on threads I have an interest in, I always subscribe. Then, each time there is any kind of action, I receive an e-mail.

If so, sorry.

I don't casually toss my name into every giveaway hat on this or other forums...
I have won one giveaway in the last 6 months and I have given away one item in the last 6 months...
Put a time limit on the giveaway winner response...
Clearly state it in the original post...
Not that people read and understand the rules.
If the winner has posted on the forum after you have announced who won and has not replied send a pm or email once.
Maybe change - edit the thread name???
Please don't cease your philanthropic giveaways - please keep doing needful things...
While I made a point of saying thank you after my giveaway win and describing the item and gave a shout out to the giver...
I never got a thank you or a thread reply or anything but silence after my giveaway...

That is one thing I won't do if you entered my giveaway the LEAST one can do is go back to check if they have won. Bumping it for 4-5 days is enough.
As far as changing or editing the title I did that 3 times, the original thread, then the winners announcement thread and the major update title.
I've also had some giveaways where I don't even know if the person received the giveaway item. No acknowledgement of receipt or even a thank you.
On the other hand I've had some winners go out of their way and send something in return.
That is all.
These remarks are not mention to be critical...
Just semi helpful observations most of which you have probably considered...
I get it because I have felt the same way.
Damned if you do critiqued by all...
Trying to be supportive not negative.
Mike
Absolutely no offense taken. Helpful criticism is always appreciated.[:)][:)]

I'd feel bad for not replying in a timely manner.

Beautiful knife, by the way.
