An old friend overdosed earlier this week. I had not seen him in 7 years or more. We would talk on the phone or e mail or 3 times a month.

We would share pictures of deer and fish we caught or killed.

He has daughters that are grown. The youngest daughter is pregnant now. She is 23 and starting a family now.

Someone sent her a facebook post asking where he overdosed and what drug he was doing.

What planet would you have to live on to even think of asking his daughter that.

Its ok his brother will fix that problem i am sure.

I went to lowes to get new vents for the new carpet we got Friday. While there i went to the bathroom and a girl about 6ish was washing her hands.

I turned around and walked out until they were done and Dad was upset that i walked out and did not use the uranel. He actually said that i was disrespectful for walking out.

I told him when my grand daughter goes to the bathroom nobody goes in. Male or female it does not matter.

How can anybody think that is a good idea.[?] I have 3 grand daughters and i do not give them baths or change them unless i am the only one around and i do not have a choice.

I bet he was not from around here.

I think I would have done the same thing. If the Dad had something to me I would have told him to mind his own business.

Perhaps he was looking for an easy lawsuit? Wanted you to "expose yourself" while the girl was there then scream rapist, child molester ect, have you arrested, file a lawsuit then you would have to register as a sex offender...oh and lose your 2nd amendment rights in the process?
Sounds pretty far fetched doesn't it. Not if you think about it for a minute.
Was it a transgender bathroom? [xx(]

he was the one being disrespectful, some believe we all live in rainbows and lollipops

i have walked out in similar situations, it is a great risk and it only takes once to be accused of accidental exposure to ruin your life

and i saw it happen when i was a teen at a park with no restrooms a grandpa was zipping up his grandkids pants after going behind a tree and was accused of molestation by a cop that witnessed it, i have been leary of interaction with any child in public ever since

If a child still needs assistance in the restroom then it is appropriate for whatever sex guardian is there to asset them. Consequently Dave did the correct and respectful thing to wait until the child had finished using the facilities. The only weird thing I note about the exchange is the father saying Dave was somehow disrespectful. That part makes no sense at all to me.

When traveling cross country with my granddaughter, I have taken her in to the men's room to go potty. She was 2 years old.

About 6 years old........eh, not so much.

    And yeah, people are crazy.

You did well. At 6 she should be able to use the ladies room or go with the mom

There was not a lady present that i saw.

When i had custody of my girl i would catch a lady coming out of the womens rest room and ask her if anyone was inside or not.

When it was empty she went in and no one was alloyed in until she came out.

Interesting situation. As a father of a six years old young girl I don't let her go into a bathroom alone that other adults I don't know can go into. I will wait and use a family restroom if available or take her into a private stall (she has to sit down anyway). Unfortunately, with laws as lax as they are now saying that basicly anybody who identifies as a particular sex regardless of their obvious anatomy can use any bathroom they want I will be with my child.

Those persons are obviously mentally unstable and I do my best to keep my children away from mentally unstable adults while alone.

I would never ever question or make a comment to a man who walked in and out of a restroom though. For all I know he forgot his wallet at the cash registsr.

When I'm coaching the kids at bowling I'm not allowed in a rest room while any one else is occupying it. I have to check first before going in.
