"The constitutions of most of our states assert that all power is inherent in the people; that...it is there right and duty to be at all times armed."

A 1947 Caddy Fleetwood went for $41k. A $150,000 build '51 Ford Vikky Custom went for $50k. I think the best steal I saw was a $125k build '33 Ford Rod that went for$37k.
On the other hand, a friend of mine sold a '70 Chevelle BB Softtop for a real good price, and a '70 Conv. Superbird repro for more than I thought he would get.
I saw some earlier in the week that I thought were good deals. I wonder if they had the higher $ owners for the weekend?
Early days cheaper cars.. Friday higher..Saturday ..super dollars

Didn't really see any cheapie cars like they had the first couple of days like last year.
A 1997 Monte Carlo 'Intimidator' prototype from the Chevrolet Heritage Collection went for a whopping...$30,000.
My buddy's 1970 Repro SuperBird Convertible went for over twice that.
The 1970 Custom Mustang Fastback that went right before the Monte Carlo went for $95,000.
That was funny.

The commentators said it cost $180,000 to build that Monte Carlo. Someone took a soaking.
I have a 68 Corvette I have had since 1972. I want to get rid of it, but I am undecided between selling it as is (needs a restoration) or having the resto done myself. I figure it would run about $40,000 for a resto, and would take 1 1/2 to 2 years. It is a convertible with both soft and hard tops, 300HP 327, auto trans.
Be sure of your costs before you go forward. These days just the materials for a quality paint job will run $10k. Add the labor and a paint job will go $20k+.
It is difficult these days to get the ROI on a resto. Unless you are planning to keep the Vette and just enjoy it, it would likely make more fiscal sense to keep the money you would spend on a resto, and sell the car as is.
That was funny.

Tall money for a scrap vehicle.

Some are. Some are going for steal prices. The prices have been all over the map.

Chris, My first car was a 70 chevelle ss. The first day I had my DL, I proceeded to wrap it around a tree.[V]. Took me four years to save for that car and it was gone in one day
Who impressed me the most was the girl in the leather pants putting the sold stickers on all the cars. I kept my eyes on her more then the cars.
Oh, you noticed her too?

I think we all have one of those aww chit stories, John. Those 70s are my favorite Chevelles. Just a really clean body style.
When I get to a real computer, I will post the link to his convertible. I think it went for $55k. Beautiful car.

"Block model". A good chance they hire girls from the local modeling agency in each town they hold their auctions in
I'm not sure she really seemed to know what she was doing.
