Well here ya go, good news for a change.

If you read the post about Ericas first deer, you know I had to work on the car a bit. Not an easy thing to do for a guy who cant stand up straight due to messed up back.

During the changing of the mirror on the car I found a water leak. I should have just stopped but that is not me. I spent 3 days fixing the thermostat. Now this car is just about knee high to me so all my time was spent in a very painful bending position. It sucked big time, but I have no choice fix it or have it over heat.

I got the leak stopped and just as I was about done I had a wicked popping in the small of my back. Here is the good news part. I am now 6ft 5 again. I can stand upright and have no pain from the back. The rest of my body feels as if I have been run over by a truck but that is to be expected.

I am just thrilled I can stand up and even turn with NO PAIN from my back. I am going to take a guess and say that whatever was out of whack is now back in whack. [:D]

I am going to mark this down on the calendar, it does not happen very often. Now I get my leg healed up I may try playing football or just walking around my yard, it would be great to go rabbit hunting again. [8D]
Just smile and say nothing, let them guess how much you know.

Mighty glad to hear you're feeling better. I wouldn't get too rambunctious right away. Give yourself a few days to enjoy not hurting. If you ease into activity and don't make any jerky of quick back movements you can train yourself to protect your back while you're being almost normal.

    Great news!

I'm very glad for you, but it getting straightened out again means that if it goes out again, you should be able to get it fixed again. There's no reason to be in pain if you don't have to be.

So please, if you never have, find a good chiropractor. Ask friends or whomever for a recommendation.

I'm 6'4" and have had back problems since my 20's, but a good Chiro has always kept me pretty much pain free.

Do like I do. Strap on a back brace when working with your * up in the air.

A gift from God! Glad to hear of it, Dave. We have one of the best chiropracters there is, in Coffeyville, should you need one. I don't have much back trouble, but when I do, it's usually a doozie. She is the only one I have ever been to that always gets it in one visit.

    Peace

Awesome Dave. I sent another forum members wife, to my back surgeon. He couldn't thank me enough. He is the best in the entire country. If you ever want his info, let me know. Oakie

    Back has been doing well.

Just had some flu bug that is over, but has left me feeling like the day after I turned a rock truck upside down. That should pass soon.

Oakie, if I could find a spinal surgeon who would work on me and give me a 50% chance of success I would jump at the idea.

With my neck and back both needing work I worry so much that some day I will cough and that will be the end of my problems. Makes it hard to sleep if I think about it to often.

As it is now the best I can expect with my having EDS is about a 80-95% failure rate, not worth much of a try.

Good news for sure sometimes those strange movements have a way of working other things out.
