My wife is pushing to get our bedroom furniture painted. It is an old Bassett bedroom set painted white with gold trim.

It is more yellow and no paint than white and gold like it supposed to be. Well in my dresser 3 of my 5 drawers are gun magazine and parts. Plus my closet is full of gun mags and parts.

While the furniture is out she wants me to paint the room and ceiling.

I was thinking about wrapping some metal gun magazines in plastic wrap and then put them in a sealed plastic tote and put them in my little storage building.

I do not have enough ammo cans. All my ammo cans are full and it would take to many cans. Im guessing i have about 80 or 90 magazines.

Mainly AR, AK, SK, 10/22, and Glock 31 mags. I could get all my mags in 2 large totes. Oh i have a lot of mags still in the plastic like pmags gen 2.

    What ideas do you have.

Is the storage building climate controlled?
How long will they be stored there?
Wipe them all down with like a Rem Oil Wipe

I suggest a pastel for the walls and a off white for a contrasting ceiling...

Dave, two things. One, I like your idea. Get a ten dollar plastic tote or an old compound bucket, wrap everything up in bubble wrap, throw a can of that stuff that stops moisture, I forget the name[:o)], and your good to go.

Two, I have a good memory. I didn't forget the bayonet. I have made three sets of handles so far and all three cracked, putting them together. My pop is going to help me. I cannot figure out why the wood keeps splitting. I want to finish this and get it off my work bench.I had some hard wood, just split right in half[}:)] I am ready to send them to Woodshed, Roger, To make them[:I] Oakie

The walls are going to be a light shade of lilac and the ceiling will be flat white.

Now my shop is dry but i have no climate control at all.

    Enough about the walls.

(Dude, "Lilac," really?? Put your foot down.) [}:)]

What about the "Giveaway?" You glossed right over that.

DO NOT put them into plastic bags! That simply holds the moisture IN! Wrap them in paper, even newspaper, after soaking them down good with gun oil.

I put a gun in a plastic bag once. ONCE. [:(!]

Hard way to learn about that.

First thing I thought of, when reading that. I would most whole heartedly agree.

I've stored mine in a card board box underneath my loading bench. They've been there over 25 years with no adverse affects.
