I know the deepness of this sorrow too. My condolences to you. You were the best friend he could have had. I am sure you gave him a great life. Soon you will remember him with a smile, not a tear. Hope that time comes soon for you.
My sincere sympathy my friend. Losing a loved family member like Sparky is hard to cope with. Perhaps it is their devotion that makes losing them so hard, or perhaps it is our own. You are a better man for having known him.
This is a true story and I don't mean any disrespect by telling this. We have 6 dogs buried along our fence line so I can relate. My condolences. One of our (hard of hearing) elderly neighbors who a few months ago while driving past another of our elderly neighbors stopped her car to say hello. The neighbor told her, that her "Dougy" (her husband) died that morning. And the one driving the car told her that was really too bad but she could always go out and get another one. Her daughter was in the car at the time and told the story.
