The clouds parted here and we got to watch!

Very cool to be able to experience.

I had a decent viewing sitting in my driveway.....the clouds obscured some of it but it did almost clear off for about 30 seconds and I did get a few decent pics. It was interesting watching the birds all settle into the trees and go quiet. The shadows all around were pretty cool also.

We had 95% so it got darker and cooler. We had the arches all over the place. I went to a friends house down the road and we had a few beers and let our dogs play with each other.

He had glasses so I looked at it and it looked just like the last one I saw.

Now that its over I am going to have a few more beers and a good cigar.

I was unimpressed. We had about 90% and it didn't even get dark here.

Best way to describe it (90% here also) was that it was brighter than the sunrise, when it is still behind the hills around you.

Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche

We had 85.6% peak here at 2:48pm. Looked like you had dark sunglasses on, and there was no heat on your skin when standing in the sun. The temperature drop was quite noticeable.

Pretty much what I expected,...nothing more, or less.

Drove 2-1/2 hours to be in Hopkinsville, KY for the longest duration.

Wonderful view, but pavement was so hot didn't notice cooling.

Cell towers switched from white day-time light to red night version.

Then I drove 5 hours in heavy traffic to get home.[:(]

May try to post some pix tomorrow.

Meh - it was cloudy here and it didn't get dark or even dim.

    A non-event here.

I think with all the beer drinkin', cheese eatin' farters here in Wisconsin we have done F'ed up the ozone layer above the state so bad that even an eclipse is obscured by the fart smell. [:D][:D][:D]
