So, when the SHTF, the SWAT teams can plan their approach/attack...

$250,000.00 plus? sounds more like they're going to use x-ray cameras so they can see how big of an arsenal every house has to me

They will also use the pics to see where unpermitted construction has been done, and go after the owner.

There are several companies that provide that product. They came to my area and put on a demonstration of their product. The county asked me to sit in and render an opinion on the system. As mentioned, the county tax assessor can better see who has added wings to their houses or pools to their property and adjust the assessment. The imagery is rendered in 3D and has embedded terrain and structure elevation data. Yes, the swat team can use this to determine approach routes to barricaded suspects. It will show them which approach avenues are under cover. It will also let them see where good marksman positions can be placed so that their own shooters have a guaranteed line of sight access. The 911 operators can use this product, combined with color shading for flooding, to determine which fire and ambulance routes are still above water so that they don't waste time sending a firetruck down a route that is flooded. Like any technology, it can be used for good or for oppression. Make sure you elect the right people to your city and county governments. Don't put all of your attention on just the national elections. [:D]

Sounds normal to me... a local/municipal/state/federal government trying to ensure they can charge you for every last square inch of property they can.

Nothing unusual about that... in fact, it's an SOP for them... unfortunately. [xx(]

I think I saw this happen in montgomery. I saw a heli flying around in a back and forth pattern, 1 mile out turn and come back, at 500 ft +/-.

The heli had a boom off each side holding what looked like a camera to me?!?!?

If you've spent any time on Google Earth, you know that this technology can already tell tax assessors much of what they want to know, even at angles.

I know this to be true personally, as our local assessor used it to prove when my house was built...

Get some siding, cover your existing windows, print some posters that look like what should be in a window and apply in all the wrong places..

Google Earth- I can actually measure the 14 ft Jon boat parked in my back yard. Cam pick up potted plants on the back deck.

The village in England where my wife grew up has been mapped at street level- took her on a virtual walking tour- you can look at individual flowers in the yards of the houses.

Find out, if possible, when it will occur and tarp your house to cover doors/windows.

Perhaps a large tarp on the roof with this on it, would be appropriate...[:)]

did you know that swat team operators know the exact size of the D.O.T. sticker you are required to put on your windshield, so they can use it to estimate range, to shoot you?

Holy crap! I'm going out to my truck right now with an Exacto knife to trim the margins off so they think I'm too far away.

    I'm sure there's more.

In the estimate range station for Expert Infantry Badge we used body part sizes such as typical head, chest width, typical person, etc. A small sticker would not be as easy to use at longer ranges but I don't doubt that it could be used.

Coincidentally, someone on my scanner here (I live in the same general area as OP is talking about) was in a conversation with their dispatcher. Having trouble with finding a specific house the dispatcher stated "according to the satellite image..." Does GB have tinfoil listed for sale?
