where did all the colt vietnam rebuild kits go!!

does anyone know what happen to them all, its like they vanished!! anyone know where to look for them?

    Sportsman's Guide had some a few months ago. Check them out.

    there were colt factory vietnam era m16/ar15 rebuild kits (no lower receiver). now i cant find them anywhere that im ready to pick one up. ive checked numerous sites who had them and they are all gone.trying to locate a stragler out there somewhere.

    I think he means "parts kit". All the parts minus the lower receiver. I think they were A1 parts. Nunn is right, Sportmans Guide had them, but they may all be gone by now.

    They were all the M16 parts less the lower receiver along with a new manufactured barrel.
    Depending who was selling them they were going for $499-$599.

    Like most such items, they had a limited run and have now pretty much dried up. FAL parts kits to be everywhere and now you seldom see them at all and when you do they are pretty beat up and pricey rather than the pristine parts (often taken from brand new guns that were torn down) that we once saw at give away prices.

    Kinda like early original AR10 parts kits as well.

    i have a original xm16e1 lower and i wanted to match it up with vintage vietnam parts kit, conversion piece without question...
