I was at 100 yards with a 24x scope and shot 3 inch groups. The guy a few bays down was shooting a old shchmit ruben with iron sights at 200 yds and shot about as well.
I guess I don't know what the heck I'm doing.hahaha it's only my second time at the range I've always been a duck hunter.)

FMJ will not be the most accurate rounds you will find but, I would think it would do a little better than that.
Try a box of commercial soft points and see if it does better.
This is all with me assuming that you are shooting off a good rest and using good technique. If you are shooting off-hand ....I am impressed and take back everything I said![:)]
The American Eagle is a wonderful round for zombies inside 50 yds.
But if you're hoping to smoke a corn monkey at 100 yds plus (and your 24x scope lets me know that you'd really like to) you're going to have to get a different pill.
I can get 1/2 moa in my rock river. I can get it with a 69 grain BTHP or with a lighter vmax. They group nicely, but print in different places.
Use the American Eagle to get on paper. Then start sending different rounds downrange.
Find out what groups well, dial it in and have at it.
I think you'll be very pleased.
