I was cleaning out my gun room closet and came across some stuff I wanted to share with you. I found my first gun, a daisy, a deed to my families first house in Philadelphia PA and a bunch old, huge, window decals from my dads gun store in the 60's. I also found two old hang tags? from a Winchester centennial '66. I also have the original blue prints for the Ben Franklin Bridge and Lucy the Elephant, but those are in a safety deposit box at the bank for safe keeping. If someone really wants one of the hang tags for the Winchester and owns one, I would be happy to give it too you. I have two of them in mint condition. I would really like to see them go to someone that would appreciate it. I would also be willing to give away a few decals. This is not a giveaway, I just want them to go to a good home, so be honest. The BB gun will go to my first grandchild and most don't qualify for that giveaway[:D][:D] Thank you for letting me share.Oakie

He bought it on Wednesday, tore it down, burnt and buried it, the barn, chicken house and 100+ year old apple orchard I took care of as a kid. He threw up an ugly ranch house and lived there till he died a few years ago.
Luckily I had taken all my firearms and a lot of my stuff with me when I left for college. But I lost a ton of baseball cards from the 50's and 60's...coins, marbles, G I Joes etc.
Sorry for the rant.....again...NICE DAISY there Oakue !!!!
I still get sad whenever I drive out past the old place
I have heard that you have to register a bb gun as a firearm. Correct me if I am wrong.

BB gun control laws in New Jersey could make the classic childhood took a thing of the past. The popular youth guns may be gathering dust on store shelves in the Garden State due the enactment of the Graves Act. The law requires BB guns to be registered and subject to the exact same laws as deadly firearms used for hunting and self-defense purposes.
Parents may no longer be uttering, "You could shout your eye out, kid" when issuing safety warnings after a longed for BB gun is unwrapped on Christmas morning. The New Jersey BB gun control law could make possession of such a prized possession a felony. The holiday classic, A Christmas Story made Daisy's Red Ryder BB gun a favorite gift for both boys and girls for decades.
New Jersey attorney William Proetta had this to say to Fox News when asked about the latest gun control law to hit the books:
"In all honesty, kids who are charged are looking at mandatory jail time. The only defense is to request a waiver but if that's not granted, young kids can get a felony charge and their lives are basically over."
Violation of the Graves Act will place offenders behind bars for a minimum three years and carries a steep fine. According to attorney Poetta, the New Jersey County in which the crime occurred will play a significant role in the fate of the toy gun owner. A judge can reportedly opt to issue a Graves Act waver or downgrade the charge - but the court officials are not bound to do so.

If I happened to live there I could not get out fast enough
One time I was down on the nearby river and shot at a frog while having my middle finger behind the trigger. The trigger pinched it and would not go forward. I had to walk home (a half mile) where dad removed the lever to get my finger free. Hurt like heck.
So it was a decent plinker, just not idiot-proof.
This gun was made in 1967. I got it for Christmas. When I was a little older, I wanted to see how powerful it was. I think I was six or seven. I cocked the lever and put my finger over the end of the barrel. I found out how powerful it was[B)][B)][B)] My finger swelled up like a balloon. It was just air, no BB. I told my parent that I got it caught in the chain of my bike[:(] It hurt like a bugger for two or three days. Stupid things we do when were that young. I will never forget that day. Seeing that gun today reminded me of this incident. Oakie
I had many bob guns but one in particular was this front loader musket. I remember once going to unscrew the loading part on the muzzle and bam it bit me. Shot myself in the meat part below the thumb. Man I can still remember that pain.
i learned to stay clear of a muzzle forever
If you are thinning out any reloading related stickers/decals, please let me know. I'm finishing up framing in my dedicated reloading room and need to accessorize.
Nice rifle and very well taken care if too. I wish my Benjamin 710 was in as good of shape. (I still have it)
