DMV took nearly a month to cash a check

I thought for a cash strapped state that jacked up the registration and smog fees I'd thought they'd cash the check in record time. Sent out the check Aug. 16/17 and they just cashed it on Sept. 13 a day after my registration was due.

It took so long I was questioning myself if I put a stamp. I wonder how long it'll take for me to get the tags?

You should get the tags a day or two after you get your ticket for expired tags.

Riverside County sometimes takes almost that long to cash my property tax checks & I take them into the office.

JamesRK - Yeah I'm driving like I'm being followed by the cops. No I'm still driving like a typical California driver. Don't signal, lane changes like I'm being tailed by the feds [:D].

Property tax I think 3 business days tops here in Monterey County. We'll see if they got slow come December.

I wonder with the "real State ID" the morons at the DMV are being over worked [:D][:D][:D].

When I worked for the state, I received checks from several hundred user agencies, for from $350 to $1500 monthly. I was required to have all checks to the business office within 24 hours, so they could be deposited and begin accruing interest.

My daughter wrote me a check 3 months ago and it still hasn't showed up in her account yet and we use the same bank.
