Paypal Came Through for Me.

Love them or hate them and I've had some issues in the past with them but they came through for me today. Sold one of my man cave reduction items on another site. Got an email from the buyer saying he received said item today and it was all messed up. Sent me some pictures and it was messed up.

Then he files a claim with Paypal that the item was not as was described. Paypal froze $87 of my account. Called them and talked to a nice lady in customer service. I explained my end of the story. I shipped the item to a New Jersey address and 5 weeks later actually today the buyer receives it and it turns out he lives in China. Seems he arranged for shipping to China and who ever he had ship it messed it up. So after a few minutes the lady told me she's denying his claim and putting the $87 back in my account. I just checked and its in there.[;)][^][^]

I know there are some nay sayers here that would say yep but they could take it right out again. I really can't disagree but for now its good.

I am glad you got a happy ending. Just getting through to talk to a live person sometimes can take hours at some of these companies.

You have to be one of the few who can actually get away with selling junk TO China.

I had a similar issue on a broken Galaxy S4. I shipped to Miami, googled the address and saw it was a warehouse in the port district.

Figured it was going to South America.

Buyer pestered me. I got the delivery receipt back from USPS online.

Sure enough, about 3 weeks later she files on me thru PayPal to reverse her payment.

So I called PayPal and they quickly saw that the required delivery was made. Problem fixed.

PayPal can suck it. You do as you see fit but I'd never use them for any reason.

I sold a Frankenwatch to a guy in Hong Kong. It had a vintage Omega bracelet on it.

So the guy gets it, and complains the watch is "pitted, scratched, gouged", and wants to return it. But the bracelet, he wants to keep as it may be of "small use to him".

What a load of ?#729;?+, I says. Went through the paypal freeze.

Told the guy he would have to return EVERYTHING and he'd only get refunded the purchase less my shipping. Poor dweebe, after deducting shipping both ways, he'd end up with about a 25% refund.

He was pissed that he could not put one over on me.

The forum was timezone. My lesson is not to accept offers from non-members. And as always, take plenty of photographs of everything you ship.

Now, on the other side of the coin, the mail-order wife Jorge arranged has worked out swimmingly well![:D]

I love Pay-Pal. 13 new rifles in my collection last year all from junk sold on the bay and collected with Pay-Pal. Hate them if you must, but you are the one being left behind.

I use paypal when buying things on flebay that i cant get here. I like using it as i bought some higher priced items on there that came damaged. Box that it came in and package was it great condition but item was damaged bad. Could have only happened outside of package. Seller tried saying i damaged the item but after taking several pics and sending them to flebay they decided the same thing i did. Seller was selling store returns as NIB items. Got a full refund and was told if seller wanted item back he could pay shipping to get it back. Never heard back from seller.

As stated do as you see fit. I'll be damned if I'm going to support a extremely anti gun company (both paypal and ebay). Also won't use them due to their ridiculous terms of use policies. Also not going to bow down to ebay requiring ME to have to accept electronic payments as well as the other bs as a seller. if I need gun parts tthat badly there's this little place on the web called GunBroker. .maybe you've heard of it?[:D]

I refuse to do business with Fleabay or Paypal, as a buyer or seller. They are part of the problem, not part of the solution.

Nope like most things sent through the GB mail system. I'll try from my end.

You have to send e-mail from your computer not 'your end.' No wonder it doesn't work![:0][;)]

Jeff as long as I don't use it here I'm safe. Hell they just bought me a new refrigerator, gas stove and a new washing machine. Paypal banned me from here and here only. Got myself banned by Paypal for items that I had listed here but not sold. After about a year I reinvented myself, different credit card bank account etc. Got my account back and as long as I don't accept it here I'm fine.
