Hope you all are having a decent day.......any big plans for today or are you anticipating an interesting weekend ?
My day started out with a two mile plus walk as I checked out the Southern fence row and the progress of the soybeans in the back part of our place. Lots of deer and coyote tracks. Beans look good, waterways and terraces clear after the 3.7 inches of rain we had in the last week or so....
Headed home as it was already getting hot....breakfast, a devotional/ meditation time and headed to the basement and shot my bow....next up is putting a dot sight on my S&W Victory and some cleaning up around the shop area.....the rest of the day will be occupying myself with some paperwork and projects as it expected to be 98 and a heat index near 112......no need to go outside so I do not intend to do so.....
So what's going on with you???

Already got a couple guns ready for the Silhouette matches up there, just wanted to make sure the "big guns" are all sorted out and ready to go.
Might even send some more boxes to random recipients who lack good chile.
I took the dogs out early and fed chickens. The dogs chased after squirrels and ran all over.
Went out to the garden and picked a bunch of Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Onions, beans, Blue Berrys and Black Berrys.
Had a bowl of cereal with the Blue berrys in I ate the black berrys by them self.
Got hungry again about 1145 so I made a BLT with Onions and Mayo. Nothing better than garden fresh tomatoes.
It started making some strange clinking noises coming from the right front wheel well when I would slow down or speed up from a stop.
I was kind of hoping it was just front brake pads.
Well, I was right, but along with the brakes it needs tie rods and my 6 year old tires, although still having plenty of tread had flat spots.
A new set of Firestone all season's and the rest will cost me just a hair shy of 1100 simoleans.
I will pick it up on Saturday morning. My kid brother lives close to the repair shop and I got to ride shotgun with him taking me around town, out for lunch and back home again. I sprung for lunch and gas.[:)]

Escaped just now to come home and let the dog out. Might get a half hour nap be fore the phone call ...
?Where ARE you??
0800 - 1000, Breakfast.
1000 - ?? watching Austrian Gran Prix Practice 2. Likely Nap.
Since Last Afternoon, running/monitoring Harvest-Right Freeze-Dryer, working on a load of Meatloaf, Peas, Corn Kernels, and Tater Tots. Approaching end of process - likely this Afternoon, early.
Next load: Papayas, Mangoes, and Pineapples.
Thinking on Dinner - perhaps Linguine Alla Claudio Capelli...have Half a Bottle of Cabernet Franc I need to finish...
Friday, Retired, here in the Glorious NorthBest, really couldn't be much better! @dawn, 49?F, predicted 69?F for the High, Gentle breezes...
Picking up after the wind/ rain storm last night- Town had trees down and some power outage. Was a scary wind and strong. You probably got some of it. I am in South Ill. Goin to BBQ today and get in the redneck pool and drink some beer. Going to BBQ on the 4rth, set off some works and watch our small towns one they shoot off.
Morning chores at the crack of dawn. Feed the dogs, count the critters, check electric fence.
Took a drive down to where the loggers have been cutting last week to see how things are going.
Quick run past the end of the soybeans to see if yesterday's wind had done any damage.
Finished re-painting the "5th wheel air flow" tailgate I'd left sitting in the barn one year too long allowing it to rust on one corner.
By then the temp had almost reached 100*.
Went to basement and swapped uppers on the AR10, then took it out and bore sighted the new scope.
Looked at the thermometer again and it said 101.5* in direct sun and decided I'm done for the day.
Rumor is the store was purchased by some Americans. Building was the largest downtown, about 1/4 of a city block, three floors and full basement parking. Third floor is residential apartments. Rumored price ONE THOUSAND MILLION PESOS or about $350,000 dollars,,, serious cash but no problem for some American high rollers. They did extensive renovations in the last six months. Probably more than $400,000 U.S.D. total investment right now today.
Some "blue light" specials. Got three NICE brooms (w/o handle) for $1.00 (33 cents each) and later scored a nice mop (w/o handle) for $1.00.
Have lots of handles, standing in "tall cotton" for the next 6 months.
TOMORROW THE SALES will be store wide. The blue flashing light isn't there, maybe I'll suggest they get one. Who knows, maybe I buy them one on my next trip. Worked for Kmart 50 years ago.
If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
I use this recipe as a guide:

I didn't have roasted red pepper so I sub-ed in small jar of diced pimientos. I add 3 HB eggs chopped and 1/2 cup of Monterrey Jack cheese small cubes.
Took a stroll to the garden early- shooed away the two white tail fawns that are hanging out around my grape arbors. Picked enough squash and zucchini for dinner.
Had ham and eggs for breakfast, followed by a brief nap. Getting our 14 ft Jon boat ready for some morning trips up to the local lake to annoy the bass.
Having a cup of Kona coffee, listening to my little tomcat bragging about the mole he nailed this morning. Debating on whether I should take the .17 HMR and set up under the shade of the oaks in the back yard, and wait for the groundhog that has been hanging around the meadow. About 200 yards, so that is not a certain thing- but Mr. Groundhog steps light around here.
Came home and did some mowing and weed-eating (LOML had issued decree) and am sitting under fan getting ready to back to shop and do the same.
Seems the "warmer weather" that was back-ordered over the winter has ganged up on us here.[xx(]
It's 90 degrees and "feels like" 101.
Drink water
look for shade
hope for breeze
drink water
