...even all my toy guns as a child were metal....'cept for a Luger squirt gun...no engraver worth his salt would use one of these as a canvas for great art work....Oh my, times are a changing.....

I have found a good balance. A S&W 686 and a Glock 23. My next handgun purchase will probably be a Ruger MKII slab-side target pistol.

My FIRST handgun will probably be a MkII.Until my CCW comes through, then I'll have to get a real gun.New York State is notoriously stingy on giving CCWs out, but I've got friends in high places

you will soon come the respect the plastic gun for what it really is, a fine "duty gun" it is almost idiot proof, almost!! i was against the change to glock, wanted sigs. when they found out they could almost buy 2 glocks for the price of 1 sig, due to state bid prices, we got the glock 22s and 23s. since i'm the weapons officer i got my 1 month early to go to glock school with. boy! those 4 days of school sure changed my view of the gun and what it can do and withstand. these are one of the best gun for police work, but i still have a sig in my gun safe, i bring it out to show the rookies what a "real" gun looks like.lol

Rembrandt, don't put it in your safe. Putit in the kitchen with the rest of the tupperware.

Now look what happened. Somewhere there is a kid that doesn't have any toy soldiers to play with because they are using the plastic to make frames for Glocks.

Plastic, plastic, Glocks.... oh yeah, didn't they for a time market their guns on how someting internal could break and the weapon would still operate. How that made it more reliable. Personally, I want one where the manufacturer builds them not to break so I don't have to worry about it.[This message has been edited by twins (edited 02-18-2002).]
