Ammo tax....legal

I'm wondering about the legality of ANOTHER tax on ammo. Think about it... the Pitman-Roberson Act already puts an 11% (?) tax on it then we pay sales tax. Where is the line drawn? Is another tax legal? That would be triple taxation.
I Also have to wonder about the legality of taxing something in excess of it's value. .22 cartridges come to mind. The proposed .05 per round tax would be more than they cost.
Seems to me a war was fought over a similar issue.

The 2A says nothing about ammo so our new government can do as they please.
Back on 03/11/2007 i posted a statement made by an ATF agent. People dunned me then. How about now?

I don't know that I believe this to be true. They will have to give it equal protection uner the 14th if challenged, at least I strongly believe that to be the case.
The thing that bothers me the most is not that the gov tries to pull crap like this, it is that the millios of gun owners allow them to do it. I am not advocatingfighting in the streets, but we seem to be content to be keyboard warriors, and hope others will do the actual "legwork" for us.
you`ll want to be quick...won`t be long before obama puts his tame judges on there...then they will vote the way he likes people to vote..otherwise he wont appoint them.
