Re the AWB: Certain amendments have been scheduled for next Monday or Tuesday, and an AWB amendment is one of those. There will probably be different versions in the chute to be proposed by the Dems in order, like you see with some of the above. All need to fail, of course.

I get real POed when some dumb * politician tries to throw in some amendment that is totally irrelevent to the proposed bills. In this case 2626 and 2627 are classic examples. Stuff like this bogs down the system at the expense of the taxpayers and serves NO usefull purpose than to do just that. Bog down the system. "If I can't win nobody can" mentality. The problem is by the time all the different amendments are discussed and voted on I doubt that most of our legislators even understand what is in the final bill.

I went back to try and find where I'd read it yesterday (CNN) but I could not find it. But, 2626 was added more as a thumb-in-the-eye to democrats because they rail on the Republican for not making the Voting Rights Act permanement. It would force the dems to vote on it and if passed they could no longer belly-ache about it.

2620 will put an additional cost onto guns(used and new)and will make criminals out of anybody who doesn't use them at home or sells a used gun without one.
