Broke out the Marlin Camp 9 tonight

Dug it out of the safe, and dug up some dirt with it tonight, I forgot how much fun that little semi auto is to shoot! it's a hoot firing off one of those 30 round clips!

    Pa: I have two camp nines and I have two Marlin factory 20 round mags (he he). What kind of 30 rounders do you use and are they reliable and still avilable?

    When guns were invented everything changed. For the first time in the history of the world a frail woman had a chance to sucessfully defend herself and home. My dream is that one of the anti-gun nuts will need a gun for defense and be unable to have one because of their own actions.

    Pa- I really like that rifle. I live in SoCal, and like most out here have an "Earthquake Box". Mines a big footlocker with MREs, water, Firstaid, medicine. radio, batteries, etc,etc, and a CAMP 9 with 6 S&W 12rd mags plus 500 rounds of HydraShok!!!.I chose the CAMP 9 since it uses the same mags as my S&W 6906s of which I have 3.One upstairs, one downstairs, and one out in the shop.My Daughters are ,needless to say, totally proficient with these weapons.I also have stored a S&W kit gun and a brick of 22.Bob

    Camp 9 and Camp .45 are classics, as is the Ruger .44 Magnum. Logically, they should survive long after the nasty black rifles are all banned since they don't look so scary. But you say they're on the new ban list. Whose ban list? Kalifornia? Has it passed yet? Surely the Feds won't pass any such thing.

    Foxy: Cheaper than dirt, this months catalog, look under Smith and Wesson, they have them in 30 round and it will fit the Marlin. Heres the catalog number, mag-639, pg 10, $17.97. Ive had a couple for 2 years and they work well.

    Thanks pa! I jest might buy me a couple of them there 30 round mags although I worry they are so long you probably have to stand on a ladder to shoot.

    The only time I had a problem is when I was resting the gun on the magazine, then it obviously didn't want to cycle!
    You should see me firing my Ruger P97 with the 30 round clip, it's like having an xtra grip!!! [:D]
