Black Talon worth?

There's a guy in town who wants $40 for two 20-rd. boxes of 9mm Black Talon. Assuming its the real deal from Winchester in the black box, what should I offer at maximum, if I want to turn around and sell it at auction?

I already did. It looks like he's asking too much. Think I'll pass.

    I paid $35. for 9mm, $45. for .45cal and $49. for .357cal.
If they are in a twenty round box then they probably are the real thing, of course you know the box is black and not yellow.

I paid a high price because I plan on carrying them, not as a collectable. So I only need enough to fill my carry guns.

    Ruger --
I would only buy to sell on GB. I'm out of the 9mm business for now as a carry round. Sold all my remaining 9 via a classified ad to an appreciative guy with a Beretta 92F.

So the kid wants too much, given current GB auction prices. There's no room for me to pay fees and make a dime on it. I'll tell him so, and unless he comes down, you won't see me offering any Win BT in the near future.

He said he's had these 20 round boxes stored in sealed army ammo cans, so I know it's good. If it's the black box Winchester good stuff, I'll low-ball him and see what happens, but otherwise, $20 a box sounds no more than average to me for 20 rounds, and I don't need it for myself. I'd sell it to someone interested here at my cost plus shipping, but even PayPal would take a cut.

The only way I'm going to use up what I have is if I shot someone.

But if anybody wants to sell some at a decent price, I'm interested.
    I still need .40cal.
