Scope warranties - can others compete with Leupold?

Leupold seems to offer a warranty that is hard to beat--unconditional lifetime warranty and you don't have to be the original buyer. Another advantage is you can deal with someone who speaks English and mail the scope to an address in the USA. Does any other scope manufacturer offer that good of warranty?

....Swarovski, friend had a pair of binoculars that were run over by a truck...he got them back looking like new, no charge. I banged my Binocs around pretty good, did some damage to the eyepieces...repaired like new, no charge.

The warranty comparison of Leupold versus others really stands out if you call the others and ask one important question: What is your turn around time, from the time you get it, till its on its way back to me? And then you will know the truth about Leupold, they cant be beat, but I'll let you call and get the nice surprise for yourselves. Call the people, ask them, dont believe me, find out for yourselves. Ask Burris, Nikon, and any others, then call Leupold, you are buying more than a scope, you are buying insurance, insurance that you will have your scope back within days, not weeks.

Leupolds return time isn't really that great since they usually don't return your scope, but rather a replacement that was reconditioned.General exceptions are expensive models, and NIB with problems. Just sent the 3rd NIB BR 36X back in 1 1/2 years. Stopped stocking new Leupolds. Haven't personally used them for BR, hunting, and Ultra Long range for 5 years. Will take a Burris, and Shepherd anyday.

Bushnell and Bausch & Lomb hard to beat also. Sent in a nine year old Banner with plastic screw broken off of bullet drop compensator to get screw replaced. In four weeks I got a brand new Trophy model as replacement. Sent in an Elite 3000 for repairs and had it back in 6 weeks. KC
