I love these threads, so I'll start another.
My next guns are:
Glock 30 (picking it up next week! Woohoo!)
Either an Uzi, or a Mac.....something full auto, under $3k. Any suggestions?
Some sort of Shotgun.......12 ga. I don't have anything but a really really old decrepit one right now......afraid to fire it.
M1 Garand! Looks very, very cool.
A .50 Caliber..............wooooooot!
Merc
NO! You may not have my guns! Now go crawl back into your hole!

Suggestions: I'd much rather have an Uzi than a Mac, but you'll be lucky to find good full auto at $3000 because the Uzi carbine with folding stock probably starts around $3200, maybe $3300, in my region. The mini-carbines are much more expensive, by up to a thousand dollars, so I'd say go for the classic "Secret Service" Uzi carbine with folder and expect to pay around $3300. Frankly, if I could get a .45 rather than a 9mm I certainly would, but that's my personal preference. They're harder to find, no doubt.

Any suggestions on ammo for him? Whitetail deer 100-220 lbs. Close to 200 yds. If he can group at that range.......

This cuts into my wish list. However, I'm looking hard at H&K right now, and having just seen the Land Warrior documentary on TV I realize the tactical wave of the future is the carbine in some form, right now the M4 and the HK G36 being the favorites. So I'm thinking it would be nice to have a CAR or possibly HK USC or MP10. Some day I'm going to have another Uzi carbine too.
I also have my sights set on SOME kind of .308 carbine sooner or later. Maybe A CAR length AR-10. I have enough handguns at the moment, though that's a relative concept. Right now I'm making sure my current crop of handguns is fully supplied with accessories and ammo. But first, my dog needs booster shots and my car's 'check engine' light came on this week. And the car insurance bill showed up.

Other than that I'm passing on rifles right now (I rarely do handguns so I don't mind not buying those). Got to do some other stuff (like more ammo - though no more scopes, got plenty now).
Coonass - haven't really shot my Remington 7mm-08 enough to give you advice on what ammo to use. Though if your son is going to be shooting dear (white tails are the small deer right?) make sure it's got enough punch behind it to do the job even at that short of a distance.

DONT DO IT!!! I've got one of those guns, and it sucks! I dont know what the manufacturer was thinking when they made this one. The barrels are so poorly regulated that I could never get mine to shoot to the same point of impact with even 2 of the barrels, never mind all four!! Talk about poor quality control.

Of course I can play the piano, as long as it has pedals!
But, you did get me thinking. If you loaded each barrel with a different weight bullet and then shot Hollywood style (sideways), I bet you could find a combo that would shoot close to the same point of aim.
