______ FREE SCHOOL ZONE

Drove past a school today, and noticed they had a couple of new signs.
The usual "gun free" school zone sign was there(I do not know how many times I have driven past that place with a gun in my car), the "DRUG FREE" school zone was also there. But there were two additions.
"BULLYING FREE school zone" sign, and a "TEASING FREE school zone" sign.
Geez. These schools are turning our kids into a bunch of basket cases. Isnt it natural for kids to do some teasing, and bullying? And doesnt dealing with these problems help with dealing with problems as adults?
I think I am going to hang a "WHINING FREE school zone" sign in front of the school.

    Yeah,....unbeliveable. Kinda goes along with the "non-competetive", "scoreless" sports activities doctrine being implemented across our public school systems. PCBS!!

    I think there should be a sign in front of most of the public schools saying: "Education-free zone" as there is little taught except how to be a Liberal weenie.Perhaps the school voucher program will get some of the unionized teachers off their lazy butts and actually start teaching again.

    What happened to the "No Dodge Ball" or "No Competition Allowed" because we don't want anybody to feel left out if their picked last and everybody is absolutely equal because nobody is better than anybody else. Some of my best times at school was during a good old game of dodge ball at P.E. Now it's too harmful and emotionally troubling for the kids. Disgusting.

    The best way to combat bullies is to teach your kids to stand up for themselves and then stand behind them when they do. Bullies usually only attack the ones they know will take it.

    My 10-year-old came in telling me of an encounter with a bully. The kid shoved him, poured a soft drink on him, and damaged his bike.

    I said, "That kid needs a a**-whipping. Why didn't you give him one?"

    Son said, "Gee, Dad. I punched him until he fell down and started crying."

    I just hadn't let him finish the story. Kid made me proud.

    That is great! Nothing wrong with turning "the other cheek" just remember, you only have 2 cheeks ... 3 strikes and your out I hope your son didn't get suspended for defending himself ... around here the schools suspend both to "cool off" ... bunch of B.S.

    I guess we're all missing the point... These "??? - FREE" signs have been so successful at schools that I think we're missing the boat.

    If we'd have put such in front of the World Trade Center, there never would have been a 9/11. Post a "Terrorist Free" sign at every bus stop in Israel and the suicide bomber episode will end.

    Heck... Put a "Debt-Free" sign in your front yard and all your bills will be cancelled!

    And then again... Maybe signs aren't the answer.

    Yesterday I was working on a scool in a drug free zone... two kids came through on skateboards and had joints hanging out of their mouths... HMMMM!

    Though I was born to royalty, I was snatched at birth, so treat me as the noble I am!!!
