Benelli patern test for turkey

Just patterned the new SBE you guys talked me into! Nice gun! The best combo was Winchester 6's in 3.5 and a Mad Max choke tube. I didn't have any other tube to try but didn't need to.

The gun has a tight pattern out to about 45 yards. Kinda iffy at 50, most shots I take are about 25 yards or less so this should work well!

The Federal 6's where a disapointment, the furthest I would think of shooting a turkey whith them is about 35-40 yards max!

I'm a fan of the 6 shot so I never tried anything else yet. I feel if the 6's do the job might as well use more bb's for a better pattern. So far I haven't lost any long-beards due to the shot size.

Next year I'll try another tube, perhaps the Pattern Master, I believe JustC recomended it on a earlier post, "Dead dick in the dirt" if I recall correctly.

Wish me luck, season starts on monday for me. Got it off!

You wont need any luck with a Mad Max.

The gun works; My buddy borrowed it for his last minute hunt on sunday afternoon, we got him a 10 inch full bearded tom. In our area we don't get really long beards but they are full like a paint brush. Boy was he tickled and so was I!
