I can't believe what I found.

I cleaned out all the stuff from my old truck this morning and I can't believe what I had in there. In addition to the usual sunglasses, garage door opener, chapstick, maps, CDs etc. I found things I had forgotten I even had.
I made a list.
Two 50" coils of rope
An E-tool
Machete (machete?)
Two fire extinguishers
Flashlight
Umbrella
Cold storage bag
First aid kit
Two loaded mags for a Model 39 S&W (I haven't carried that gun in 6 years!)
Assorted drugs, both OTC and prescription
Plastic ware from a fast food place
Two pair of gloves (one woolen and one leather)
Can of spray air freshener
Reading glasses (haven't needed these since my eye surgery 2 years ago)
Six pens (because I guess 5 just wasn't enough)
Wet wipes
Tire air pressure gauge
Tape measure
Two expired conceal carry permits
Calendar (this year's, thank God)
Handcuff keys (I think I tossed the cuffs when I couldn't find the keys years ago)
Can opener
Switchblade knife
A 12" length of chain
Two padlocks
What's under the seat of YOUR truck?

All are sitting in the attic.
a couple of boxes of Milk Duds (emergency food)
Baling wire
Gaffer Tape (called duct tape by the less artistic)
A flash light with batteries younger than you.
poncho (an umbrella is ok if it is Eddie Bauer)
A synthetic stocked 12 gauge and 2 boxes of shells, one slugs, one 00 Buckshot (for solving personnel problems, kinda like poofing)
Leatherman
Maps, preferably of places other than Arkansas (travel is good)
Many CDs, with plenty of Eagles, Allman Bros, and a little Bob Dylan couldn't hurt.
Are you daft man? Are you a few bricks short of a load, are the lights on but nobody's home?
I will not look under the seat of my truck, NO WAY! There are dark scary places under there. Might even be the place the boogy-man hides when he is off duty from scaring children. You wouldn't want me to awaken the boogey-man from his well deserved rest would you?
You go put all that stuff back where it belongs...[:D]
Took out: several pairs of brown cotton gloves...left 1 in the "net" at the tailgate
3 or 4 boxes of 12Ga. slugs.....not MY flavor....I don't "lose" ammo *LOL*
1 set blue, lightly insulated coveralls.........#1 son's?
fast food wrappers, aluminum cans, plastic bottles, empty cig packs, the "usual" clutter
1 ea. 100ft. length 3/8" nylon cord, 50ft. length 1/2" blaze orange rope
1 medium duty gambrel w/20ft. length of rope attached
the spotlight that went south last spring...or was it the year before?......ot was that the OTHER spot?!...BETTER CHECK!!!
5QT Castrol oil container..........with 1/2QT of oil in it
the pcv valve I bought 2 years ago and never used, and which I bought another of when I finally did change it out
1 Rapala filleting knife w/scabbard.........sharp, too, must be mine!
2 low-end rainsuits and 1 el cheapie poncho
I know there was more, but nothing "memorable"*LOL*
Of course I left A LOT of necessary stuff right there where it belongs: first-aid kit, emergency tool-kit w/light & air pump, 4-way tire tool, MORE rope (heavier stuff, 5/8" I think), pens, paper, CD's, etc.
Long story short, it took me 4 HRS to clean that Blazer, iincluding vacuuming, and wiping the interior surfaces.........will do the interior windows SOON (I smoke inside in the winter [:(])
Q: Why/How DO we accumulate soooooo much $hiite in our vehicles?!?!?!
[^]barto[^]
When I sold my last car I kept finding 12ga ammo rolling around in the trunk.
