A lot of my friends here in Colorado will not be hunting deer this year because of the disease the deer have. The state just announced that they will have free testing for anyone taking game in the watch areas. If you are not in the watch area then it will cost $25-$35 or so for testing. Is this going to stop anyone on this board from hunting deer? If so, which state are you in?For everyone, what are your thoughts on this?
If I knew then, what I know now.

When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....
Gun Control Disarms Victims, NOT Criminals
Now that this disease is one of the confirmed (amongst others that cause havoc in humans), I trust there are those who would refrain from such practices.
These diseases which are known to exist and have been known to transfer to humans from infected meats and organs of animals, in cluding sheep, bovine and the handling of infected dog fecal waste, is not something that would cause happiness within ones family.
Here is some info on the disease, a word to the wise is sufficient.
Prions Background Information
Prion diseases are infectious diseases of the brain and occur both
in animals and people. The disease is given a different name according
to the species:
Humans: CJD (Creutzfeldt Jakob Disease)
GSS (Gerstmann Str?ussler Syndrome)

Cattle: BSE (Bovine Spongiforme Encephalopathy)
Sheep: Scrapie
Deer / Elk: CWD (Chronic Waisting Disease

This reminds me, mexican foods served in fast food establishments, such asTaco Shops, prepare;
Tacos de Cabeza (made from usually a cows head, includes brains), Menudo made of stomach lining and tripe), Pozole (same as Menudo except it has different herbs and ingrediants with hominy), and Tacos de Tripa ( usually made of fried up veal tripe, which has been left with the curdled milk in the intestine of the veal); there is no doubt that these foods are tasty and have a certain exotic flare to them, but I would not recommend any individual seek this type of food for ingestion, knowing that the possibility of contracting such diseases are a possibility.
It's bad enough knowing one can get cancer just drinking contiminated water, let alone paying for the privilige of hunting deer, or other game animals, and then becoming infected from consuming infected meats.

I was thinkin it would safer to take my chances with the ole italians, who play this game at our local park, I always see them when I go for my 3 mile walk in the mornings,
Then, I just remembered they argue alot, and when they're done arguin they all kiss one guy, and thats the end of it.
Problem is I don't think, the guy that gets kissed is seein again.
Allright, well, I'm still thinking.????
