Looking at making a pottery kiln, so I need some insulation that can handle 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. Any suggestions?? ... going to look at the local fireplace and wood burner store tomorrow, just wondering what you net geniuses might come up with

I know of the brick method, don't have the space....
I've used this and it's incredible.

Ceramic wool
Graphite felt, protected by either
Graphite board w/ Graphoil face
Graphite board heavily painted with Colloidal graphite "paint"
We use both, with the last 3 being used in our vacuum heat treat furnaces (up to 2300f)
