30" barrel for skeet /sporting

Hi,I'm looking at a Beretta 390 w/30" barrel.I shoot mainly skeet and sporting.Is this barrel going to be to long.Beretta lists a 28"and a 30" as sporting barrels but most people that I talk to are saying a 28"would be better.I'm 6'2" and the gun doesnt seem to feel long to me.Any comments would help.

    For me at 5'9 the 28 would be about right. It's going to realy come down to what fits you the best. The longer sighting plane and increased forend weight are the only advantages to a longer barrel (shotguns reach max velocity at around 18")
