Czech Mauser Question

Just snagged one of these at a local gun shop and had one question about the small latch on the back of the bolt. I see that it can be used to stop the bolt from opening and what-not. My question is, I flipped the little bugger all the way over to the left (assuming you're holding it as if to shoot it) and it seems to stay sitting there. Is there anything I have to do to get it back over to the right again? Sorry for the estupido question.

To the left is shoot, to the right is safe, straight up is remove the bolt.
I am going to take a little guess, you will have to cock the rifle to put it on safe [make it move to the right].
3 o'clock = firing pin locked back, bolt locked down.
12 o'clock = firing pin locked back, bolt unlocked
9 o'clock = fire
On the left rear of the receiver, that is the ejector/bolt stop. Swing the front of it out to the left and pull the bolt out.
The metal disc, with a small hole in it, on the stock (if it has one) is used to hold the firing pin tip for disassembly when you detail strip the bolt (the bolt is probably full of cosmolene right now, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to clean it out).
The Mausers can be completly torn down with nothing but a screwdriver for the 2 large screws (might be 2 small locking screws also) on the bottom.
Be careful taking off the handguard, they are thin and crack easly.
Edit
This is the manual for the Sweedish m-96 Mauser, the biggest operational diference between it and yours (yours is a m-98) is the sweed cocks on close, while yours cocks on opening. http://www.biggerhammer.net/manuals/swedish_mauser_m96_m41b.pdf
There are quite a few manuals available online at http://www.biggerhammer.net/manuals/
