Silly Kids, I'm surprised that the air bags deployed?!?
Watch the second one
I hope Mom and Dad make them pay for the air bags, and ground them till the repairs are paid for.

Oh, my 2006 Taurus has been airborne twice before I lowered the suspension and all that happened was some paint and undercoating got scraped off the front sub frame.
Buy American it you're going to ramp your cars.
I've done similar things in my youth with my '82 Eldorado, '80 F-150, '86 Charger, '87 LaSabre, '79 F-150, '86 Mustang, '87 Voyager, '85 Topaz, and '93 F-150. All of them survived being jumped multiple times, however most of them met their demise in other incidents. But, my point is solid, American vehicles can be jumped in a similar fashion without sustaining major damage.

Wait until you have a teenager driving your car, then remember this very statement. [}:)]

They were all my personal vehicles or my parent's second hand cars that they didn't drive anymore and said that I could use becasue they barely ran and were total POSs. The '93 F-150 is still on the road by the way.

Not talking about your parents cars or their kid, I'm talking about your cars and your kids. It's different when you get there, You'll see, and you'll loose sleep thinking about what you did and knowing they are carrying your genes. Just wait. You'll respect your dad a lot more when the day comes![:D]
My dad let me drive the junkers becasue he knew that I couldn't screw around that much with them. Too bad my mechanical skills developed at an early age. I got all that from my dad and I remember how he was when I was a teen. I have a son myself and I can only imagine how it's going to be knowing how reckless I've been.
Yep, my dad wanted to know why I was making the engine go faster rather than making the brakes stop better. I didn't have an answer for him![}:)]
My dad doesn't understand why I need to make my '78 Suzuki faster, stock it had a 150+ top speed, or what's the purpose of a motorcycle that can hold a 65 mph turn at 100 mph. The only response I have is "because."
I know![:D]
Looked like a smooth enough jump.
I used to do stuff like that in a 1969 Plymouth Fury!
I'm sure if dad finds out the truth, he be rethinking his graduation gift.
Back when I was wrenching cars for a living, we had a gent bring in his sons new (grad present) Jeep CJ5 IIRC about 1000 miles showing on the odo, for a minor oil leak.
Lifted the Jeep and noticed the small hole in the oil filter, that was caused by the front axil vent tube, that had been bent flat. It didn't take long to notice the front axil was bent (smilie face) and that both side body panels (behind the front wheels, ahead of the doors) showed the classic signs of "jump damage".
Anyway, they called dad, he came in a looked at the damage and than went up front and got his salesman. Dragging the salesman out to the Jeep, and in front of the service manager, he told us to "Make the repairs and sell it. If I hadn't just spent $5000 on his teeth, I'd knock them out". Needless to say, the "proud grad" spent the summer getting around on his bicycle.
WTH did the air bags deploy???

A lot of the cars use a glorified pinball "Tilt" switch to control the airbags. Bounce them around enough and they'll pop
