If I could get it back

I know I'm new and this subject has been probably beat to death on this forum but, of all the rifles, shotguns,or pistols you have ever had and sold what one would you want back. Mine is an old Remington 870 in 12 gauge with a plain barrel, my father gave it to me one Christmas and I made the mistake and left it in my truck. Hope the SOB is enjoying it.

I have only got rid of one gun in my life. A Rem 788 in .243 that I got for a x-mas present when I was 14. Killed a lot of deer with it. It was a right handed gun and I shoot left handed so i traded it. Have been regretting it ever since.

Thought I better clarify that last remark of mine. I left it in my pick up and stopped at a store on my way back home. Someone helped themselves to my shotgun, a CB radio(they where popular then) and several boxes of shells. Live and learn.

Gosh, I'm sorry Duck. If I had known the 870 had so much sentimental value to you, I wouldn't have taken it.

To answer your question seriously, no, never really "regretted" anything I've sold (guns or otherwise). I might miss something if it were stolen from me, but if I sell it, it normally will mean it was "replaced" by something that I like even more!

That would have to be a Ruger Superblackhawk with the dragoon grip frame, and a glass smooth 2# crisp trigger. The numbers 747 were part of the serial number. Always thought that was appropriate. Would give alot to have it back. It was my first .44 mag.

I traded for a 30-30, the old long hex barrel, and sold it befor I saw in and went through with the deal. What a mistake.

I found a Win model 50, 12ga. featherweight in a pawn shop that someone had painted green. Green stock, green barrel, green trigger, everything was green. The shop let it go for under $100. I stripped it and refinished it for next to nothing in cost, sold it for $250. I know I made money but I look at prices now and I kick myself that I didn't keep it.

Model 1917 Eddystone in 30-06, Full millitary trim. Bought it years ago for a song! It still had cosmoline in the barrel when I brought it home. That thing was used for all kinds of game and sport. Would digest anything I would load!

Had a Blonde moment and traded it off! Still kick myself over that one!!!

Of course I can play the piano, as long as it has pedals!
