Beware of US Postal Insurance Claims

My wife bought some plates a year ago, one was damaged when they arrived. It took one year to get the check from the USPS insurance.

At least you got paid. Government moves slowly.

I have seen many more stories about UPS and how their insurance won't pay off at all.

I use USPS exclusively, and have been 100% satisfied.

May the UPS guys have to convert all those brown trucks to campers and live in them.

I had a claim, a few years ago, with UPS. The driver delivered my package to another street with the same numbers, and of course the packaged disappeared. UPS paid of within a month.
Now on the other hand USPS thinks they have gotten it right if the mail is delivered to the right street, and the neighbors sort it all out.

Sorry David, I don't like UPS' politics, but when I've had a claim, it was dealt with immediately & professionally. Unlike the time I received a box of software CDs with a tire track across the remains & was told: No insurance? - too bad, so sad. And that was only the most egregious of examples; there are many more. I only use the mail now if there's no alternative - communication, bills or packages. SCREW the USPS!!!!!!!!!
