Scope mounting ?????

Can you reverse a Leupold STD mount , two piece with rear windage adjustment screws......... and place the windage in front instead of the rear.......

Well I just did , to get me a extra 5/8" for my new Burris... It bore sighted out okay...... I'll shoot maybe tommorow.........

Its a long story why I did this....... I mainly wanted to keep the Burris signature rings with the pivoting synthetic insert on the scope............

Has anyone ever heard of this being done or Have I just done a little cajun engineering [8D][:D][:o)][:I][;)][^][?]

    I have a Browning Bar 30-06 with redfeild mounts, windage adj. in front. Shoots fine, been that way since I bought it.I think there more or less the same type mount.
