I see comments on here about anti-gun messages in movies watch 44 minutes. When the cops go to the gun store to borrow rifles to stop the criminals because their department left them seriously out gunned one of the cops makes a comment after the camera zooms in "I cant beleive they just let people own these things" not that big a deal but a pointless movie comment about owning firearms.Especially seeing that if people coulnt have them they wouldnt have had a way to shoot back with any type of threat. It just bothers me sorry.

I saw that and I have to say for the most part I was very unimpressed with the whole show. Now I think I know alot about guns but I am positively sure I don't know everything about guns. Some of these people that write these movies read a couple of magazine articles and a police report and they are "EXPERTS". If that movie was a true depiction, I can get 5 people off the street corner and a couple hours of training and be more desciplined than the SWAT team on that show. That was embarrassing to say the least. And the police force that surrounded the bank, I know security guards with better sense than that. I know if I have to go up against a man with a ak47 and I have a wondernine, I will be doing alot of praying, thinking, contemplating and sneeking trying to get behind him for a good head shot. Yes it had an Anti gun message. And I hope I never see it on tv again.[:(!][:(!][:(!][V]

Funny thing is over 3,000 rounds were fired and not one of the cops could get a head shot.

The Bank Robbers copied the movie 'Heat' which came out shortly before inspiring their act. Both had near the same outcome.

By banning the rifle's in California their is no way they could stop another occurence....Anyone can sneak into Los Angeles from Mexico.

2 idiots screwed everything up for the whole country.

The problem was not that they COULDN'T get a head shot, they were forbidden to go for the head shot until they got permission.

A friend of mine was in B&B when the officers came in to get the firearms. He said that they had to get instructions on how to load and operate the AR's. I guess that this shouldn't be a surprise since they obviously didn't receive any training with them prior to joining the department.

Soon after that fracas, the county passed a raft of firearms laws regarding sales and B&B had to close that store and operate their only other store which was located in another county.

It was a crappy depiction that could have been so much more.

    Best.

they couldn't go for a head shot without permission? Pretty stupid cops and a lame excuse.

You've got someone shooting at you with an illegally modified SKS going full auto with a hundred round drum rattling your car into swiss cheese...you've got a snub nose .38.....you wouldn't aim for the head?

Nitrouz- You forget, this happened in CA. They needed to stop the crooks not kill em. That way they can get treatment and parole in 5yrs. If someone is willing to shoot at a cop their dept should be willing to let them defend themselves properly. Cops are already at a severe disadvantage with the damn Mexican mafia smuggling serious hardware across the border here in the Southwest. I remember a police bust capturing a few rocket launchers w/rockets awhile back. With that type of problem on the streets nowadays they need all the help they can get

    nitrouz,

They may have been stupid and it may be a lame excuse but that is what took place. It was explained at a news conference afterwards when a reporter asked why a head shot had not been taken right away. The response was that it might be interpreted as an execution rather than trying to apprehend them and get them to trial. It's Commiefornia, you explain it... Take a hard look at a lot of the other stupid laws that they pass. It's the land of fruits, nuts and pot smokers.
