I know I always ask alot of question but I just want to buy a good gun. Okay, Ive heard alot of things about how reliable beretta 96s are. Ive heard they jam so easy that its not even funny, and that they hardly ever jam. So is it true that they jam very easy, or are they like Glocks and can go through mud, sand, be frozen and still shoot? Or somewhere in between? And should a beretta vertec be as reliable as a beretta 96? Sorry for so many questions.

I can only comment on the Beretta 92 series, as Its the only Beretta I own. I have never had a jam, malfunction or problem with it in the years I have had it. The PA state police use the Beretta 96, I think. Perhaps the Sig 226 in 40 caliber may be a better choice, as I have never heard anything bad about Sig pistols.

I think you have started to learn about how some peoples OPINIONS afect the rating of a gun. My beretta has never had a malfunction. They are great guns that shoot well.

As I own a beretta 92 , and a Sig p226 , I feel that they are both very well built guns. The Sig is the better built of the 2 in my opinion. I have never had a jam on either gun, I have a buddy that has a glock 19 , and I have had that gun jam on me before. It might have been just cheap ammo Idunno. I feel the best gun for your money today ... is any Sig series handgun... and check it out in .357sig... ballistics on this round are similar too the legendary .357magnum....very hot little round.
