Question about Springfield M 1A

I have read on a few posts in here where people say the M1A's aren't accurate and their hard to disassemble and clean and they sounded kinda disappointed in general. I have also read many magazine articles that sing praise to the M1A's as being the best battle rifle available. I know magazines cater to those who advertise with them to a certain extent but dont think they would discredit themselves by praising a piece of junk. What do you guys think, are they accurate? Are they easy to maintain/field strip ect. Im thinkin of getting one but am reluctant because ive never shot one.

When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....

I have a Springfield M1A and it is awesome. It is very accurate with iron sights!!

Field stripping the weapon is not too tough. But, performing a more detailed cleaning could require a special tool to remove the handguard (I just use a screwdriver).

The only thing I can think of to say negative about the M1A is that it is heavy (compared to more "modern" rifles like the AR-15).

What is the deal with the loaded 1000 coupon? Is it like $10 off coupons on 100 dollar accessories?

I too own a M1A national match.... very accurate rifle... possibly one of the finest battle weapons produced as of date....Extremly accurate also....I dont find it too difficult too dissasimble, though it does take a little more effort than most. I would say this rifle is a wise investment, and you shall not be dissapointed... if you are just sell it. Plenty of buyers on the market for these rifles.
