.22 scope

I'm looking for a scope for my .22 magnum Ruger bolt gun. I've read a bit about the new Zeiss scope, but at close to $500 that's a bit much. Is it really that good of a scope? I was also wondering if anyone other there had knowledge of a scope that might work for me. Most shooting will be within 75 yards if that that helps.
