I have a chance to purchase 14 mauser rifles for $50.00 each.they are in "fair" condition and all shootable per the seller. i have not seen them yet but the individual i would be purchasing them from is an ffl. i have a lot of questions but i guess what i really need to know at this point is do you think they are worth that price? carl.

    They are averaging $30-50 for the 8 mm Turkish Mausers......good deal, I suppose. I've seen them online for $40, if you buy 10, including shipping.

    If the turk mausers so common nowadays, it is a decent price, yes. Nothing outstanding, but good. If some other type of Mauser, the deal is only better from here on out.

    Jonk is right. It is common to see Nazi marked mausers going for $200 or $300. A mauser expert would be drooling to get a look at a deal like this.

    Find out if they came from Gibbs Rifle Co. If so, the best one they sold was a POS. I know...I rebuilt a couple of thousand for them. AS WALL HANGERS ONLY. They had been stored in Nicaragua for YEARS and the humidity had done grievous damage to them. I think Val Forget (the owner) bought 'em by the ton. Some guys would ask me if they were ok to shoot. I always told 'em "YES....but get behind something solid and use a loooonnng piece of string to pull the trigger."

    Well Pop what kind were they? turkish, russian or what,,,,,,, AND HEY you didnt tell me about this deal
