When seating those V-Maxes you have a COL of 2.688, when I loaded the Sierras I loaded 1/2 turn off the lands, 2.750. Your COL, is that a result of trying different seating depths? I ask because today I shot groups from four differetn IMR powders and got very erratic groups, from all powders, the best being 1 1/2" and the worst being over 2". Now while I believe that not all the powders I tried was the best choice for this particular gun I feel that they should have done better. Now I am thinking after looking at the COL you loaded at that maybe I loaded them too long and may try to seat them at 2.688 and shoot again using 3031 and 4064, those was the two best powders, 4895 and 4350 sucked! The bullet used was a 100G Sierra Spitzer, in my daughters single shot 243 I can get 1" groups using 31G of 4350 so I thought they would perform well in thsi gun. The powders was chosen (one reason is I have enough IMR to load for an army!) because i have found that those four powders are a good "utility" powder that work in almost anything. So, could the COL be the culprit or is that thing as picky as a reheaded woman?[:D][:D]
I'm still scrathing my head hoping I'm not that bad of a shot!! LOL[:D]
