GB get together Outdoor show Harrisburg Pa.

Hey would anybody be interested in heading to Harrisburg Pa, on Feb 14 and 15th to get together and go to the outdoor show, and visit the Cabella's store! From what I hear the show is huge and awesome!

Now understand this would have to be weather permitting, traveling south through the state in Feb can be just a tad bit hazardous!
Maybe the ones who are lodging, could get together and stay at the same place, sounds like a party to me!!!

What do ya all think??

Like it!!! Sounds like a plan to me. After sleeping beauty (Swwbo) arises I will try to very tactfully broach this subject. It would be great if a bunch could get together just so we could find out how dysfunctional this GunBroker family is!!!!

If I'm going to bring it up for Karen's anniverary you can bring it up for Wendy's birthday. Tact and diplomacy (and a whole lot of * kissing) MAY work. Hopefully enough wives would come to keep us all in line.

Punchie - who's gonna keep us in line ?!?!?![}:)][}:)]
I was thinking a hotel with a heated pool & those cute, slightly dressed pool boys to bring us our drinks [:0][:0],,, then us girls will head to the mall [;)] I'm sure we can find as many "good deals we couldn't turn down" as you guys.

Seriously I just checked the calendar -- the kids are at their "significant others" that weekend. Sounds like a good time -- us girls can tag along or go find our own stores to terrorize !

    Pa -

If it weren't for my experience last year at the show, I'd take you up on the offer...

Immediately hit for a parking fee as we entered. Then an enterance fee. Then into the show where they advertised quality firearms at over 800 tables.

Nowhere near what was advertised. Half the tables sold flemarket stuff or jerkey. Most of the rest dealt with knives, military, or new low-quality firearms.

The one good table was a bunch from the Elmira area who make a habit of never having anything behind their counter that isn't treasure (And never admitting that anything on the other side of the counter is).

Really pretty good entertainment if you can stand to watch legal crime... You can literally see a gun turn from junk to treasure as it heads one way, and from treasure to junk as it heads the other.

Obviously no names here. I just don't like the attitude or ethics.

    Nope... Never Harrisburg again.

Nord - did you go to the gun show or the Outdoor show?

I think they are totally different.

I'm in PA right now from CO at the in-laws. Wish I could make it and meet all you people. I love reading your threads. You are all awesome people. Unfortunately, I will be heading home on the 3rd.[V] I wish there were more GB'ers in CO, and they wanted to have get togethers like you guys. Maybe someday.... Have a good time you guys, I know it will be fun.

[:D] Hey Pa, nice thought, the show in about one miles off interstate 81 ,don't worry you won't miss it they have flashing signs up along 81 ..Warning they will park you away from the Farm Show Grounds(where the shows held) and bus you to it. Once inside ,unless your there mid week expect to be pushed and shoved around and along with the masses like cattle in a chute. about half the show people are outfitters.I used to go every yr. but haven't been there for the last few. I got a bum back and nerve probs with my one leg and just don't feel like trying to keep upright in the cattle chute while having to pay for the privledge.I worked the show when I was in retail ,and then during the day mid week you could get around and see the booths and talk to people, warned weeks ends are tough.there are alot of hotels ion the area ,but best book ahead for the show week.. Don't know if they still do but watch some of the leading outdoor journals, sometimes they offer coupons to get a buck or two off at the door. I think you can buy your tickets online and it saves standing in a slow moving line.
If you have never been there, it's worth the experience but allow the time.

PA Booger, you guys have got to make the swing by my place when you go to the show, when you get to I80 just hop off at the Woodland exit and follow RT350 and RT322 to RT453 and you will hit RT22, my house is on RT22 the same as the gunshow and I am one hour and 15 minutes away from the show complex. Not sure if I will go or not but if you don't stop by and say hi there will be a war[:D][:D][:D]
