Bench shooting my Ruger 44 Mag

I took my Super Blackhawk down to the range today to see how it would shoot off the bench. I shot two five inch groups at fifty yds with open sites, then I decided to see how it was at 100yds.
I shot a 10 inch group at 100, which I was happy with, considering I could barely see the target! I shot my deer with it last year with it 50 yds away, now I don't think I would hesitate to try one at 100yds, providing I had a good rest. My buddy wants me to put a scope on it, but I think Ill leave it just the way it is. Just doesn't seem right to put a scope on that handgun! I was using 240 grain Hornady XTP's, one of these days I guess ill have to start doing some handloading.
Maybe when one of the five kids leave, Ill have some space! L.O.L.
